Companion
Animal Hospital requires that all
animals that stay in our pet
boarding facility be a patient
of Companion Animal Hospital.
Being a patient is defined
as having had a complete physical
exam by one of our veterinarians
within the past 12 months*.
This
exam is required to be done prior to
the animal being admitted to the
boarding facility, with the owner
present, and it is strongly
recommended that previous veterinary
records also be provided. The cost
for this service is $59.00.
This policy accomplishes the following:
-
We will have
a personal relationship with all clients and patients that use our boarding
facility
-
We will know
the health status of every pet that uses our boarding facility, and will be
aware of their medical history and any current medical problems, allowing us
to better care for them.
-
The clients
will know us and our doctors, understand our philosophy and our policies,
and will be aware of and understand our boarding requirements and fees.
We are sorry for any inconvenience to those of you that use
us as a boarding facility only. We believe that this is in the best interest of
all of the animals in our care. We feel this is a minimal
requirement and hope our valued boarding clients understand the need for these
changes and will comply to help us take better care of their pets.
Thank you from the Doctors and Staff at Companion
Animal Hospital

Special Diets
At Companion Animal Hospital we strive to provide the best
care for your pet in the most cost effective way possible to our clients. With
the skyrocketing cost of pet food ingredients, the pet food manufacturers have
been forced to pass this increase on to the veterinarians, pet stores and
consumers in order to maintain the high quality of foods they make for our pets.
Because of these rising costs and in order to keep our boarding fees reasonable,
we will be feeding only the Purina Pro Plan Adult or the Purina EN
diets to all of the pets in our boarding facility. Beginning on January
5, 2008,
all pets with special dietary needs or those on a prescription diet will need to
have that food provided for them by the owner. We apologize for any
inconvenience, but believe this is the best way we can continue to provide
boarding services for your pet without significant increases in our fees.
Thank you!
