OUR VETERINARY SERVICES

Companion Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and wellness center. We provide in-house surgeries, a full range of diagnostic laboratory services, and a complete pet pharmacy. Companion Animal Hospital is comprised of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department and on-site laboratory. We emphasize preventive care whenever possible to ensure a happy, healthy and long life for your pet. We offer physical examination, vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, geriatric health care programs for older pets, veterinary dentistry, and nutritional counseling services. Companion Animal Hospital has also partnered with veterinary specialists to perform such procedures as advanced surgeries, cardiology and endoscopy.

Veterinary Surgery

Companion Animal Hospital offers both routine surgical procedures, like sterilizations, and more complicated procedures. We work closely with a board certified, veterinary surgeon who brings his expertise to our hospital for more complicated cases. All surgical patients undergo a preoperative exam and pre-operative blood tests to evaluate anesthetic risks.

Our EKG and Pulse Oximetry equipment can monitor your Pet's heart rate and vital signs to better determine how well your Pet is responding to treatment and during surgical procedures.

In-House Laboratory Analysis

Companion Animal Hospital has in-house blood chemistry and automated hematology analyzers which allow us to obtain immediate results in critical situations. We also utilize a local laboratory for more complete testing.

Internal Medicine

We recommend a complete physical exam for your pet on a yearly basis. Lots of changes can occur from year to year, especially as your pet gets older.

Preventative health care recommendations are made based on examination findings and your pet’s individual needs and situation, which you help us to determine. This may include blood, urine, or fecal tests, vaccinations, dietary or exercise advice, and life-style changes.

Advanced X-ray Technology

Our modern X-Ray equipment ensures your pet has minimal exposure to radiation, while our automatic processor produces clear, quality films. Within minutes, we can have your pet's X-rays taken, processed and ready for interpretation by our doctors.

Pets Need Dental Care Too!

Companion Animal Hospital provides dental care for all of its patients. We check the teeth routinely during every full physical exam, and can help your pet with any problems they may have. Many people do not realize the significant role that dental health can have on their pet's overall health.

Routine ultrasonic scaling and polishing is recommended for all pet's based on many different factors. Please ask one of our veterinarians or technicians for additional information regarding your pet's needs.

		The Hospital typically closes from 1:00 to 3:00pm the second and last Tuesday of every month for staff training. We always recommend you call ahead to verify this information, as dates do occasionally change. This information, as well as our holiday hours, is also posted on our front door and on our telephone greeting one month in advance. Thank you.
