What is the difference between an emergency and urgent care?

A true emergency is when your pet needs critical care. They were hit by a car, or have labored breathing, or are choking, or actively bleeding. You need an Emergency Clinic that has the specialty staff and equipment to handle this type of care.

Urgent care is generally same day appointments or walk ins, for pets that need same-day care, but it is not a critical care emergency. Your pet got a laceration, or is limping suddenly , or you discovered a bad ear infection.
These clinics help general practice vets by being available, and able to help last minute, when your regular vet may not be able to take on same day appointments.

In both situations, your pets records will be sent to us, or your regular veterinarian, for review and follow up care, when necessary.
